MUNDO MENDO Fantastic City Life

Art show coming to Seoul June 30th 2023 to Feb 10th 2024

A show about the art of illustrator Luis Mendo (b. 1969) and the romance – big and small – he finds in the rollercoaster that is urban life. The gray city skyline, the subway ride to work, and other familiar scenes of uneventful cities have the power to draw you into a story, like a movie. You might find cities to be chaotic, busy, changing every day and too many people from all walks of life, but Luis shows us there’s a lot to enjoy from urban life.

There were over 650 pieces spread over the 4 floors of a beautiful venue in Seoul’s old center.

Divided into rooms by themes, the carefully selected pieces come from Luis Mendo’s work archive (commissioned and personal) made over the last few years.

The Groundseesaw team did a fantastic job constructing the spaces and making the digital files come to life on walls and screens.
